Author of Children's Books
Children's books became important to me when I first became a parent. Story-telling is important an activity for parents to connect with their children and help develop their imagination.
My children used to make me read "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" over and over again. I used to make the noises of the trolls or of the goats clop, clop, clopping across the bridge.
When my grandchildren became old enough, we would play a game in which one person would start a story, and then hand off to the next person so that everyone contributed to the story to create a wonderful, silly tale that everyone enjoyed.
Reading to children at schools and libraries still energizes me to this day. Being a children's book author helps to keep me young.
